Goals and Essential Functions:

  • Professional window treatment (blinds, shutters, shades, and drapery) installations working collaboratively with the client on-site commercial and at their home residential. Our new hires will follow the management team's operational processes related to installation.
  • Performance metrics set for the installation team must be met including but not limited to professionalism, preventing errors, go-backs, the importance of customer satisfaction, speed of installation, and attention to detailed accuracy.
  • Must take pride in your work keeping projects clean and safe.
  • Complete installation reports and make suggestions for improved processes and/or improving current processes to reduce errors. Your team input is valuable! We appreciate teamwork and you taking pride in your work. 
  • Reduce the volume of go-backs by ensuring that you accurately pull jobs and are adequately prepared in advance of installations.
  • Collaborate with the installation scheduler to ensure any go-backs are handled as the highest priority and that they are completed in a quick, efficient, and friendly manner. Leaving the customer with a smile on their face and a positive experience. 
  • Communication between sales and installation is important. Discuss upcoming installations to gain insight about customer expectations and details to ensure an efficient and successful project completion the first time, and within the projected time frame.
  • Attend regular installer/shop meetings and informal debriefs to go over all problem jobs, expectations, ask questions, installation training, safety training, etc.
  • Ensure that your vehicle is maintained and stocked with supplies/parts necessary to complete your work easily.
  • Ask for support with installations as needed after you pre-review the upcoming projects each week.
  • Experience with hand power tools, construction, or relevant background.
  • Work on ladders. Experience with general construction equipment setup is a plus.
  • Please respect customers' personal property on job sites and professionally communicate with the customer.
  • Ability to speak and read English is required.

Relationships:

  • Internal: All departments throughout the company.
  • External: Customer relations at clients' homes, vendors, and other contractors, as assigned.

Type of Position: Salary position with benefits.

Compensation:  
  • 2400/month.
  • The rest of the pay is based on piecework, i.e. how many brackets are installed on a job, how much square footage for shutters is installed, etc.
