What You'll Do:
Content Ideation & Outreach: Brainstorm and pitch creative content ideas to journalists and bloggers, aiming to boost SEO visibility and secure top-quality backlinks.
Tailored Prospecting: Build custom outreach lists and email templates, tailored to specific industries and clients.
Adapt Content for Audience & Style Guides: Master the art of adjusting tone and complexity to fit various audiences and style guidelines.
Social Media Support: Develop engaging content for client social media accounts, contributing to their online presence.
Client Communication & Reporting: Assist in managing client projects, ensuring clear communication and delivering comprehensive reports.
Craft Engaging Headlines: Write attention-grabbing titles that drive higher click-through rates (CTR) and appeal to the press.
Media Relationships: Build and nurture strong relationships with journalists, reporters, and web editors.
SEO Copywriting: Produce effective, high-quality web content to enhance clients' online marketing strategies.
Problem Solving: Bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to help grow clients' online presence.
What You Bring to the Table:
Content Marketing Expertise: At least 3+ years of experience creating and promoting content, with a focus on SEO, public relations, and media outreach (bonus points if you've been published on reputable news sites or blogs).
Intermediate SEO Knowledge: You know your way around SEO tools and understand how they can enhance client websites.
Data-Driven Storytelling: Experience designing surveys and using data to craft compelling stories for media pitches.
Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality work on time.
Attention to Detail: You prioritize quality and have a strong eye for detail.
Creative Problem Solving: Proven ability to come up with innovative ideas that capture attention online.
Additional "Nice-to-Have" Skills:
Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, or a related field.
2-4 years working directly with the press, journalists, or national news outlets.
Experience with tools like Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Zoom, and Basecamp.
Proficiency in using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and Ahrefs.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS and experience uploading content to WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
Experience collaborating with design teams and providing input on best practices for design and UX.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary Range: $58,000 - $71,000 (depending on experience)
100% remote, US-based role.
