About the Opportunity

A prestigious, luxury full-service hotel in Atlanta is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function. This iconic property is known for its exceptional guest experience, high-end accommodations, and premier event spaces .

This is a confidential search for a HR leader with hospitality expertise , capable of driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational excellence .

Position Overview

As the Director of Human Resources , you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team , responsible for overseeing all HR operations, talent strategies, and workforce development initiatives to ensure a thriving workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the hotel's operational and financial goals.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, recruitment, and retention efforts to attract top hospitality talent.
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and professional development programs .
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and hospitality industry standards.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and performance management to foster a positive work environment.
  • Lead workplace culture initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency.
  • Maintain HR metrics, including turnover rates, labor costs, and workforce planning .
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives .
  • Oversee HRIS (Human Resources Information System) for efficient employee management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

✔️ 5+ years of HR leadership experience in the hotel/hospitality industry .
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (SHRM or PHR certification preferred).
✔️ Deep understanding of labor laws, employee relations, and workforce compliance .
✔️ Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software .
✔️ Proven ability to build and maintain a strong workplace culture .
✔️ Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and workforce challenges .
✔️ Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills .
