The University of Michigan Department of Environment, Health & Safety is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist focusing on both research laboratory and machine shop safety. The primary responsibility of this position will be to identify potential hazards, inspect facilities working with chemical and physical hazards for health and safety concerns, and facilitate corrective actions and/or provide recommendations.
M-F daytime hours. Additional work hours may occasionally be required during nights and early mornings, and weekends to respond to emergencies or other time sensitive/critical events and to provide training for employees.
