Job Summary

If you're interested in a career as an Entry Level Clinical Researcher, this role is perfect for you! This position is in Precision Genomics’ St. Louis Production Genotyping lab. The candidate will collaborate with a large production team of full-time employees and contractors to meet daily and weekly genotyping targets under tight deadlines.

Job Description

• Operate manual and automated lab processes in the Extraction (sample processing) lab.
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks to ensure smooth lab operations.
• Manage general lab stocking and supply upkeep.
• Support the Detection team in their daily workflow as needed.

Skills Required

• 1-2 years of experience.
• Must be able to lift to 40 lbs.
• Demonstrated Reliability:
  • This is a business-critical position that supports lab operations 7 days a week across multiple shifts.
  • The candidate must be a dependable presence during their shift. The position may require flexible or off-shift hours during peak times.
• High Throughput, Production, and Sample Management:
  • Our lab processes over 2 million samples per year with fast turnaround times. Experience handling a large number of samples daily (e.g., in a lab setting) or working in a fast-paced environment (e.g., retail, food service) is a plus.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is a plus.
• Automation and Mechanical Aptitude:
  • The candidate must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting automation independently with minimal guidance.
  • Biologists with engineering or technical aptitudes are encouraged to apply.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
• Monday–Thursday Night Shift (approximately 2 PM – 12 AM, 10-hour shifts).
• Role is 100% on-site (no hybrid or work-from-home option).

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $36.00 to $44.00 per hour based on qualifications.
