Speech Language Pathologist Reach for the Stars Learning Center – Brooklyn, NY
Reach for the Stars Learning Center, a private school, servicing children with autism, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SLP to join our program. Work in a great environment, improve your craft with trained supervisors and a variety of students.
Reach for the Stars was founded with the belief that children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders can live full and productive lives as integrated members of the community. Recognizing that each child presents his/her own unique strengths and challenges, Reach for the Stars champions a multi-disciplinary approach rather than relying on one strict modality. This integrated model begins with a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and the teaching philosophy integrates speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, behavioral skills and social skills training under the umbrella of ABA. The utilization of this collaborative model facilitates the educational practices and behavioral treatments that have proven effective in educating students with disabilities. The primary goal of RFTS is to help each student progress to the point at which they can thrive in less restrictive educational and community settings.
