Key Responsibilities :
The Shipping Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shipping and receiving department, including managing staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient operations. This role will be based out of our North Hollywood building and requires a forward-thinking individual with a hands-on leadership style.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of shipping and receiving associates, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
• Develop and implement strategies to improve shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with shipping carriers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and service levels
• Oversee inventory management, including regular audits and implementing measures to minimize discrepancies
• Analyze shipping data and prepare reports for upper management, identifying trends and recommending improvements

Qualifications :

• 10+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, with at least 5 years in a management role
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong negotiation skills and experience working with vendors and carriers
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and data analysis tools
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs safely
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred but not required
