ABOUT US

Open Your Heart, Open Your Home/Caregiving with Love

Nonotuck Resources Associates () is a community-based agency that has been providing residential services since 1972 to people with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries. We support people who need assistance to remain living in a home setting. The individual and shared living provider share a home; the shared living provider must have an extra bedroom.

SHARED LIVING PROVIDER NEEDED

We are seeking a compassionate individual or couple to provide a welcoming and supportive shared living home for an older woman in the Natick/Westboro/Milford/Uxbridge/Franklin area. She dreams of living in a home with people who will embrace her as an inclusive member of the household. She values meaningful relationships and is looking for a home where she feels empowered, respected, and celebrated for who she is. This woman requires a provider with a strong medical background to manage her medical needs. She likes to go shopping, spending time in the community and attending her day program. She prefers to live in a home without small children; a home where she is encouraged to participate actively in daily life while receiving the support she needs to achieve her personal goals and maintain her health.

Who We Are Looking For: A caring individual or couple who:

  • Can provide a warm, inclusive home environment.
  • Will support her daily living needs with dignity and respect.
  • Will support her desire to maintain independence.
  • Can assist her with skill development, budgeting, and managing her monthly funds.
  • Are prepared to help navigate emergent safety situations and support scheduling activities to ensure a balanced, fulfilling life.
  • Have a home with a first-floor bedroom and bathroom to accommodate her mobility needs.

If you are in the Natick/Westboro/Milford/Uxbridge/Franklin area and able to provide supports to this person, we encourage you to apply. If you believe in the power of inclusion and want to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Caregiver responsibilities will include planning and sharing meals, coordinating appointments and social activities, and providing assistance with budgeting, safety, and daily living skills. To qualify, all applicants must have First Aid and CPR training, a valid driver's license, own a car, pass a CORI, and meet AFC criteria. The caregiver will receive a generous stipend, training, and ongoing support. Clinical supports, nursing supports, and respite funds are also available, as needed.

If you’re interested in learning more about becoming a shared living provider, please send us your resume.

The following resources will be available:

· 24- Hour emergency on-call assistance

· Monthly in-home visits from a Care Manager

· Access to clinicians for additional support

· Training on home safety skills, medication management
