Apollo raised a series D in 2023 and is backed by top-tier investors, including Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, and more, and counts the former President and COO of Hubspot, JD Sherman, among its board members.

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to help craft the future of our CRM product. We are looking for a strong systems thinker who can navigate the intricacies of SaaS products and deliver user-centric solutions. Product Designers at Apollo.io serve a vital role in helping us learn, test, and iterate to build the best experiences possible for our users. We appreciate designers who think deeply, speak clearly, love collaboration and feedback, and are always learning.

Our Product Managers, Design, and Engineering teams are structured as Squads. You will be assigned to a Squad alongside one Product Manager and multiple Engineers, and you will regularly collaborate with designers from other pods to ensure a cohesive user experience across the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product Manager on your squad to brainstorm, build, and validate solutions for complex user problems.
  • Partner with Engineers on your squad to understand technical constraints, hand off designs, and run design QA for enterprise-level features.
  • Map complex user workflows and system interactions to create clear, scalable solutions within our CRM product.
  • Collaborate with your squad during Weekly Sprint Planning & Daily Standups.
  • Collaborate with other Designers to provide feedback, share learnings, and maintain a cohesive end-to-end experience.
  • Interview enterprise users to validate designs and learn about their specific problems and goals.
  • Use and contribute to our design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Consistently integrate quantitative and qualitative data into essential product decisions.
  • Collaborate with your squad to identify the highest impact areas to work on, develop hypotheses, test, and iterate.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing and shipping complex, enterprise-level SaaS products. Experience in CRM, sales-tech, or related B2B domains is a strong plus.
  • You are a strong systems thinker. You can deconstruct complex problems, understand how different parts of a system connect, and design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and coherent.
  • You have strong design instincts & best practice knowledge to translate user problems, business objectives, and technical constraints into excellent product experiences.
  • You’re a self-starter that thrives while working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have experience creating and maintaining components across multiple product surfaces in Figma.
  • You are a voracious learner, constantly trying to learn how to improve customer experience and drive core metrics. You stay up to date with modern design tools.
  • You’re experimentation-oriented. You can conduct user interviews, analyze results, form hypotheses, test them with prototypes or product experiments, and iterate.
  • No big ego. You have respect for your cross-functional partners and a shared understanding of the team's goals.
