Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional Career Coach to join our team! The Senior Career Coach will work closely with Career Services leadership to provide peer input as well as provide case management, supportive services, and career/employment support to individuals participating in Goodwill programs and services. This role will assist individuals in obtaining and maintaining employment, achieving their career goals, and improving productivity and employability skills to reach their vocational potential and improving their quality of life. Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Essential Duties And Tasks

  • Works closely with Career Services leadership to implement program goals, prepares reports as required and/or requested, ensures program outcomes are met, and may provide direct service delivery.
  • Functions as a member of the Career Coach team, giving and receiving peer input into the delivery of services.
  • Monitors caseloads of assigned Career Coaches to ensure services are being administered within Goodwill Works guidelines. Monitors required electronic data bases to ensure data is kept current and accurate.
  • Recruit and introduce individuals to Goodwill programs and services. Complete a needs assessment and conduct intake interviews with individuals to determine barriers to employment, as well as services needed.
  • Identify current trends and forecast future workforce structures to help develop and implement skill sets needed to sustain a viable workforce.
  • Assists individuals in obtaining information about their benefits and how they will be affected by employment to help them make good decisions about employment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with local businesses, vocational training institutions, and support service and community resource agencies to identify job placement and career advancement opportunities
  • Performs site visits, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in, psychology, human relations, social work, rehabilitation counseling, or related field, preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years of work experience in the workforce development, human services, counseling environments, such as a workforce development program or a community rehabilitation agency providing services to individuals with disabilities and/or disadvantages in lieu of a college degree.
  • Previous case management or related experience
  • Demonstrated analytical capability and understanding.

Physical Demands

  • This job may have physical requirements that range from sedentary to medium work. Sedentary work involves sitting for extended periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Medium work involves more walking, standing, and lifting to 50 pounds.
  • Travel across the state and to other locations beyond the assigned work location is frequently required.
