Research Assistant About the Opportunity The successful candidate will be providing research support for a project investigating how the COVID-19 pandemic has had differential economic impacts at the intersections of race/ethnicity and gender.
Responsibilities The RA will assist in:
- downloading, merging, and cleaning data
- running statistical analyses in the programming language R
- formatting results in Word; converting datasets from R to Stata
- locating academic literature to include in the literature review
- formatting the paper for journal submission
- other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in economics or other closely related field. Required skills: Strong programming skills in R, coursework in statistics and econometrics, and the ability to format tables and bibliographies in Word. Preferred skills: Experience with Stata and familiarity with Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition.

This position is part time at $22/hour and will provide remote administrative support to work on the Oakland campus.
