The research project will focus on the development of theory and computational models for the regulation of cell shape. The Postdoctoral Researcher will develop molecular-scale models to understand the assembly, stability and dynamics of cytoskeletal structures that control cell shape and movement. The project will be performed in close collaboration with a large interdisciplinary team of experimental and theoretical scientists.
Applicants must have a recent Ph.D. in physics/material science/chemistry/data science or related field of experience.
Strong background in theoretical model of biological and soft matter systems. Experience with cytoskeletal systems is a plus.
Strong publication record.
Proficiency with active matter physics and molecular dynamics simulations.
Strong programming skills, expertise in numerical methods and data analysis are required.
Ideal candidate must have background in modelling biomechanical systems, non-equilibrium dynamics and experience in collaborating with experimental labs.
