Police Dispatcher Requirements:

• Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System Certification(TLETS)

• Lenel Software ~physical security solutions, including access control, video surveillance, and mobile credentialing

• 2+ years of police dispatch experience

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to multitask and work effectively under high-pressure situations

• Proficiency with computer systems

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• High School Diploma or GED

Police Dispatcher Pay:$25/hr

Police Dispatcher Shift:

(Contract Thru 6/2025, BUT Possibly Longer)

• Wednesday, 1PM-7PM

• Sunday to Tuesday, 7AM-7PM

• Thursday to Saturday-OFF

• Weekends & On-Call may be required depending on business needs

• OT may be required depending on business needs

Police Dispatcher Primary Responsibilities:

• Communication and Coordination:

  • Receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service

  • Accurately document and relay information between the public, security officers, and police personnel

  • Dispatch officers and other emergency services to incidents using radio, phone, or other communication systems

• Monitoring Systems:

  • Operate and monitor various security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems

  • Respond to alarms or system notifications by dispatching personnel and following established protocols

• Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed logs of incoming calls, dispatched units, and actions taken during shifts

  • Prepare reports and updates for ongoing incidents or investigations

• Safety and Security Support:

  • Assist in coordinating emergency response during critical incidents, such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security breaches

  • Provide vital information to officers responding to calls, including location details and potential risks

• Customer Service:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for individuals reporting incidents or seeking assistance

  • Provide clear and professional communication with employees, patients, visitors, and external agencies

• Technology Use:

  • Utilize computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems to log and track incidents

  • Access databases for information related to licenses, warrants, or criminal history as needed

Police Dispatcher Immunizations Required:

• Flu Shot

• TB Vaccination

• TDAP Vaccination

Police Dispatcher Process Includes:

• Background Check

• Drug Screen
