Penetration Tester

Description:

The team provides a highly technical and in-depth penetration testing service, supporting enterprise cybersecurity objectives. Responsibilities include performing penetration testing and ethical hacking to identify, assess, and exploit information system vulnerabilities; documenting identified system risks, planned test procedures, and outcomes; analyzing vulnerabilities and reviewing program documentation such as requirements specifications, system architecture, and security plans.

The team will recommend changes to reduce system vulnerabilities, develop and document penetration testing plans and procedures, and conduct hands-on penetration testing. Additional duties include analyzing test results, recommending countermeasures for uncovered risks, participating in or leading technical meetings, documenting action items, and briefing management on progress and results.

Requirements:

Mandatory: Demonstrated work experience in cybersecurity or related IT field; experience with cyber penetration testing; knowledge of computer attack methods and system exploitation techniques; understanding of cybersecurity principles for Linux, Windows, and virtual platforms; experience designing, testing, or implementing IT security architecture; experience performing network security analysis and network architecture analysis; using network management tools; leveraging adversarial tactics for hands-on security testing; developing risk management methodologies; analyzing test results to develop risk and threat mitigation plans; reviewing system configuration, development, and design especially for enterprise systems and hypervisors; experience with complex Windows installations.

Desired: Participation in public and private information security groups; effective communication of vulnerability and risk to senior executives; researching, evaluating, and developing security policy and guidance; ability to perform complex technical tasks with minimal direction; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline. Must have a poly clearance.
