Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail oriente d and proactive payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, managing tax compliance, and supporting internal and external payroll audits. You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Payroll Tax Analyst and play a key part in maintaining efficient payroll operations across multiple regions.

Job Description

• Process payrolls on a regular schedule and generate accurate payroll reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of employee timesheets.
• Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries and resolve any related issues.
• Support payroll audits and ensure compliance with federal and state tax deposit requirements.
• Communicate relevant changes in tax legislation and internal procedures when applicable.
• Assist in reconciling payroll reports.
• Research and prioritize payroll tax notices in coordination with the Payroll Tax Analyst.
• Manage incoming payroll-related correspondence and take appropriate follow-up actions.
• Monitor and maintain state and local tax account information across all business entities .

Skills Required

• Previous payroll experience is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Workday.
• Familiarity with U.S., Canadian, and Puerto Rican payroll tax regulations is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal and multi-state payroll tax requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Senior Payroll Tax Analyst (approx. 90% of the time).

Education/Training/Certifications

• Associate degree (minimum 2-year degree) required.

Additional Requirements

• Schedule notes: Fully remote role with flexible start times between 7 am to 8 am (8-hour shifts). Must be on EST or CST time zones and should be prepared for potential overtime as needed.
