Payroll Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage payroll processing for a multi-state, rapidly growing workforce
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Implement and maintain payroll systems and process improvements
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate payroll administration
• Handle payroll tax filings, audits, and year-end reporting
• Drive payroll automation and efficiency initiatives to support the company’s scaling efforts
• Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting payroll operations

Payroll Manager Requirements:

• 5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in a high-growth or PE-backed environment
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and compliance
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday or similar platforms
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
