Job Title: Oil And Gas Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Oil and Gas Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on a variety of projects including pipeline mainline, trenchless installations, and associated facilities such as metering/regulation, compression, over-pressure protection, and storage. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in engineering, with a focus on natural gas pipelines and related facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and calculate linear pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Perform quality checks on designs and installations.
  • Review and evaluate manufacturers' drawings.
  • Prepare procurement specifications and construction documents.
  • Evaluate bids and select appropriate contractors.
  • Conduct conceptual design studies and write comprehensive reports.
  • Select materials and equipment for projects.
  • Observe construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.
  • Handle project permitting and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Perform site investigations and evaluate environmental conditions.
  • Execute other similar tasks as assigned.


Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Earth.
  • Experience with natural gas pipelines and trenchless crossings.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or the ability to obtain it.
  • Ability to perform site investigations and evaluate permitting requirements.


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with natural gas regulating facilities is preferred.
  • Strong preference for candidates with ArcGIS skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil).
  • Experience with midstream, pipeline, and GIS.


Work Environment

This position requires 3-4 days per week in the Englewood office, with 4 days preferred for less experienced candidates. Travel may be up to 30%, but typically around 20%, depending on project locations and timelines. The work environment includes a diverse range of projects, a supportive schedule with multiple utilities, and opportunities for growth. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87/hr.
