Job Title: MRI Technologist

Duration: 13+ Week Contract (Extendable)

Location: Hackensack, NJ

Shift: Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Description:

A MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. The role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and adherence to safety protocols in a clinical setting .

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI equipment to capture high-resolution images of targeted body areas.

  • Prepare and position patients according to imaging protocols for optimal results.

  • Explain procedures and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and safety.

  • Administer contrast agents when required and monitor for any adverse reactions.

  • Follow all MRI safety protocols , including shielding procedures and room compliance.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to assess image quality and make adjustments.

  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system .

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on MRI equipment.

  • Stay updated on MRI technology advancements and best practices through continued education.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MRI) or equivalent .

  • Minimum 1-2 years of MRI experience .

  • Must have ARRT, ARDMS, and COVID vaccination documentation .

Work Environment:
  • May work in hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, or diagnostic clinics .

  • Requires standing for long periods and occasionally lifting/moving patients.
