Shift: Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
A MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. The role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and adherence to safety protocols in a clinical setting .
Key Responsibilities:Operate MRI equipment to capture high-resolution images of targeted body areas.
Prepare and position patients according to imaging protocols for optimal results.
Explain procedures and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and safety.
Administer contrast agents when required and monitor for any adverse reactions.
Follow all MRI safety protocols , including shielding procedures and room compliance.
Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to assess image quality and make adjustments.
Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system .
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on MRI equipment.
Stay updated on MRI technology advancements and best practices through continued education.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MRI) or equivalent .
Minimum 1-2 years of MRI experience .
Must have ARRT, ARDMS, and COVID vaccination documentation .
May work in hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, or diagnostic clinics .
Requires standing for long periods and occasionally lifting/moving patients.
