Job Description and Duties

Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager II, and/or the Materials and Stores Supervisor II, the Materials and Stores Supervisor I (M&SSI) is responsible for the daily operation of Facility Clothing Rooms, receiving soiled laundry and linen, the processing of clean clothing for distribution to incarcerated people and incarcerated people accountability.

Working Conditions

The California State Prison – Los Angeles County (LAC) is located in Lancaster, CA (Antelope Valley) – home to our State’s Poppy Flower.  LAC is approximately forty-five (45) minutes North of Valencia, Ca, which is home to Six Flags Magic Mountain and is approximately seventy-five (75) miles North from Downtown Los Angeles/ Hollywood.

Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/ evaluation thereafter.
