Insurance Coordinator
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for helping patients navigate their insurance benefits? We are seeking an Insurance Coordinator to join our busy specialty dental practice. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring patients receive the maximum benefits from their insurance coverage while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
What You'll Do
Verify patients' dental insurance coverage and benefits.
Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations for treatments.
Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and estimated costs.
Submit accurate and timely insurance claims electronically and via mail.
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims, appeals, and denials.
Stay up to date with dental insurance policies and industry changes.
Collaborate with the front desk and clinical teams to ensure accurate patient information and treatment codes.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing insurance-related inquiries and concerns.
Educate patients on available payment options for uncovered services.
Support other office responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For
If you're highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a passion for customer service in a dental setting, this role is for you! Ideal candidates will have:
1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a dental insurance coordinator or in a similar role (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
Proficiency in dental practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills to handle insurance claim discrepancies and denials.
A patient-focused approach and professional attitude.
