Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Paramount, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting HR functions and ensuring smooth operations within the manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about employee relations and HR administration.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
- Maintain and update employee records within the HRIS system, guaranteeing data integrity.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including orientation sessions, documentation, and training schedules.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns professionally.
- Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility for new hires.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews and managing candidate communications.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Organize and maintain confidential HR files and documentation.
- Generate reports and provide insights on HR metrics to facilitate decision-making. Requirements - Proven experience in HR administration or as an HR Assistant.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems to manage employee data.
- Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with conducting background checks and employment verification.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on employee relations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
