Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Human Resources Director
FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary
We are seeking resumes for an HR Coordinator responsible for assisting with HR services for American Bridge employees, encompassing full-cycle onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and conducting exit interviews. Proficient in leveraging HR systems to process employee requests, manage external verifications, address EEO issues, and generate reports. Collaborate with local management and the HR team to effectively implement programs and policies aimed at attracting, developing, and retaining a high-performing workforce. Acts as a strategic partner to the HR manager and a valuable resource to employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support and Assist Human Resources team.
  • Answer employee inquiries and reply to emails related to HR
  • Receive, review, input, file and track status of New Hires; ensure all data is error-free, backed up, and stored safely
  • I-9 Processing and E-Verify
  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for Employee File entry.
  • Verification Of Employment Status when requested.
  • Assist in managing calendars for Recruiting and Pipeline management.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output.
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents.
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures.
  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations.
  • Scan documents and print files, when needed.
  • Keep information confidential.
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files.
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies.
  • Coordinates meeting agendas, prepares minutes and follows up on action items
  • Maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, managers, employees
    and contractors.
  • Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • At least two years of Human Resource experience or equivalent, ideally in the construction industry or related field or recent New Grad.
  • Recruiting and experience in Cooperative Education/Internships programs is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills; high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and government regulations affecting Human Resources functions.
  • Professional demeanor and communications skills, with proven ability to work with employees from all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a time sensitive, confidential, manner within a fast paced, results-oriented environment with minimal supervision
  • Experience with use of any HRIS systems, on base, JD Edwards and Applicant Tracking Systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
  • Awesome, "Can-Do" attitude.
  • Experience in processing HR related invoices. 
  • Bachelor's degree would be a plus but not preferred.

  • Must be able to legally work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post offer drug test.
  • Must be willing to work safely and keep OSHA recordable incidents to a minimum.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to business acumen, financial concepts, and various HR related calculations.  A high math aptitude is necessary for computer automation projects and logic.  An understanding of statistics and other higher level math is necessary.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, reporting tools related to databases. Experience with OnBase and Everify systems would be a bonus and not a necessity.

Work Environment
General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 20% of the time.  The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
