Job Description

Position: Housekeeper/After- School Care
Location: Washington, DC
Work Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $35- $40/hr
• Benefits: Health insurance, 2 weeks PTO, 6 major holidays paid off
• Living Accommodations: Live-out position.

A busy family with a 6,500 sq. ft. home is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper/After-School Care Provider to help manage their household and assist with the care of their two children (ages 9 and 12). The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a warm, easygoing demeanor.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeping:

• Perform full housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized home.
• Weekly deep cleaning of the entire house.
• Daily tidying and light cleaning to keep the home neat.
• Family laundry: washing, folding, and putting away (including handwashing delicates).
• Seasonal household tasks: folding recycling boxes, taking in/putting out patio cushions.
• Grocery shopping once a week for ingredients for family dinners.

Cooking:

• Prepare simple, nutritious family dinners nightly.

Pet Care:

• Walk the family dog a few times a week.

Childcare/Driving:

• Pick up children (ages 9 and 12) from two nearby school campuses at 2:45 PM and 3:15 PM.
• Drop off the children at their respective activities:
  • One child to a nearby metro stop for dance class.
  • One child to taekwondo class on a designated day.
• Ensure safe and responsible driving (a car will be provided).

• Someone easygoing, responsible, and with an affinity for working with children.

Position Details:

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 references.
• Background check required upon a contingent offer of hire.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible to the family’s needs.
