Must-Haves:

Female caregiver (This position requires assistance with bathing, toileting, and intimate personal care for a female client who has requested female caregivers for privacy and dignity.)

Clean background - must pass all required checks

Driver's license, vehicle, and insurance

Professional focus - no phone use during shifts (no talking, texting, phone should not be visible)

Complete Mental Presence: Able to provide undivided attention for entire shifts without managing personal situations remotely. Previous caregivers who were constantly coordinating home responsibilities via phone/text were not successful in this role.

Strongly Preferred:

Spanish speaking - conversational ability to connect during memory episodes

Available for potential travel to other states with family

Experience with elderly care (professional or personal)

PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS

Punctuality & Preparation:

Arrive 5 minutes before shift starts

Check in with previous staff for proper transition

Be ready to work right on time

Focus & Discipline:

Maintain quiet environment when client is resting

No movies, loud conversations, or unnecessary noise

Stay attentive to client at all times

Phone remains away during entire shift

Communication & Accountability:

Bring questions or concerns directly to family

Be honest when mistakes happen

Take ownership of all actions

Ask for clarification when uncertain

Daily Responsibilities

Personal Care:

Assist with bathing, dressing, and bathroom needs

Ensure safety and fall prevention

Meal preparation and feeding assistance as needed

Companion Care:

Accompany to church services and read Christian Science materials daily

Engage in meaningful conversation and activities

Provide emotional support during memory episodes

Household Support:

Light housekeeping and laundry

Accompany to therapy appointments (6 days/week - Pilates & PT)

Maintain safe, organized environment

Compensation Package

$25/hour - Our standard rate for this premium position. (Candidates seeking above standard rate must demonstrate exceptional value throughout our comprehensive screening process (see application))

About The Family's Needs

This family has been managing progressive memory care needs. They need someone who understands that this isn't just about medical care - it's about preserving dignity, providing comfort, and supporting their loved one's spiritual practices.

The client's faith (Christian Science) is central to her life. You'll be asked to:

Attend church services with her

Read religious materials to her daily

Respect and support her faith-based approach to wellness

Be comfortable in religious settings and discussions

Note: Christian Science is an established Christian denomination focused on prayer and spiritual healing.

SCREENING PROCESS FOR THIS POSITION

Due to the specialized nature and premium pay of this role, our screening is thorough:

Initial Application - Complete detailed questionnaire about your experience and approach to caregiving

Phone Interview - If you pass prescreening, we'll call to schedule a phone interview to discuss your background and motivation (9am-7pm)

Personality Assessment - Online assessment to ensure alignment with the caring, patient nature required for this role

Final Interview - Meet with our Operations Manager to discuss professional expectations and confirm mutual fit

Skills Assessment - Meet with our LPN (on-site or online) to review caregiving competencies and discuss care scenarios

Onboarding & Background Verification - Complete onboarding paperwork and comprehensive background checks (DODD, DRC, Exclusion List, Registry checks)

Client Meet & Greet - In-person meeting with the family to establish compatibility and potentially discuss trial shifts

Long-Term Placement - Your ongoing performance and dedication determine your success in this premium, stable position

Note: The family has limited availability as they provide primary care. Prompt response to scheduling requests is essential. Each step is designed to ensure success for both you and the family.

Training/Certification: If not already certified, we provide free HHA training and certification between steps 4 and 5.
