**Responsibilities**
**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Nursing Assistant under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse aids in caring for the acutely ill or convalescing patient provides basic nursing care and assists in tasks requiring less technical skills.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
**Qualifications**
**REQUIRED:**
+ Previous clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Sufficient to maintain certification
+ Completion of orientation program by hospital Nursing Department
+ Home Health Aide certification required.
+ Current BLS through the American Heart Association required.
+ CA Driver's License
+ CA Auto Insurance
**Overview**
Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate three Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.
We are located in the northernmost area of California and are part of a network of care including Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. **Pay Range**
$27.09 - $30.44 /hour
