Position Description:
The Health Information Manager provides leadership and oversight of the facility of Health Information department; prepares and maintains reports regarding clinical measures, outcomes, and documentation within open and closed charts; assigns appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnostic and procedural codes; reviews medical records against pre-established criteria; abstracts data from coding and medical record reviews into appropriate databases.

QualificationsHealth Information Manager and Coding Job Requirements:
Associates degree in medical coding program required, Bachelors preferred.
RHIT, or RHIA Certification through AHIMA or AAPC Required
A minimum of three years’ experience as a Medical Coder and Health Information required.
