Position Summary
The Golf Ranger is responsible for ensuring an enjoyable and smooth flow of play on the golf course. This includes monitoring pace of play, enforcing golf course policies, assisting guests as needed, and promoting a positive and courteous atmosphere on the course. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of golf etiquette, excellent communication skills, and a customer service mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage the pace of play on the golf course, helping groups maintain appropriate timing.
• Enforce golf course rules and etiquette in a respectful and professional manner.
• Provide assistance and information to members and guests, including directions, course layout, and club policies.
• Respond to emergencies or issues on the course and communicate with the golf shop or management as needed.
• Assist in daily golf operations such as setting up signage, checking tee times, and ensuring cart rules are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the golf course by picking up trash and reporting any issues to maintenance.
• Communicate with the Pro Shop to report slow play, group positions, or course conditions.
• Represent the club with professionalism and courtesy at all times.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the game of golf, including rules and etiquette.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Must be able to operate a golf cart safely.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak golf season hours.
• Prior golf or customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
