**Role Overview**
We are currently searching for an Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, handling bidding jobs, qualifying suppliers, and managing the bid process. This position requires someone with a keen understanding of the glazing industry, a technical mindset, and the ability to read and interpret specifications.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Assist in the preparation and management of project estimates and bids.
* Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project scoping and budgeting.
* Review and analyze project specifications to develop comprehensive estimates.
* Engage with suppliers and partners to qualify bids and manage supplier relationships.
* Support the project management team in resolving scope-related queries post-contract.
* Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Excel for estimating processes.
**Qualifications**
* 1 to 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the glazing industry or related fields such as miscellaneous metals or sheet metal.
* Proficiency in using Bluebeam and Excel; experience with Glazer Studio or similar software is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Curiosity and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
