Job DescriptionMinneapolis College, a vibrant and inclusive two-year community college in Minnesota, is accepting applications foran Unlimited, Full-TimeComputer Systems Networking Instructorpositionwithin theSchool of Information Technology.This faculty position is for theFall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year.Instructor Responsibilities:Develop teach face-to-face, online blended coursesTeach daytime, evening, at alternative sites to meet the needs of a diverse populationSupport department?s decision-making with respect to budgeting, scheduling selecting textbooksParticipate in departmental meetings, Advisory Committee, extracurricular opportunities as part of larger college communityInteract with students using a variety of teaching methods, advising, holding office hours, involvement in student organizations such as Computer Club and computer security competitionParticipate in departmental assessment, outreach programs, student recruiting, student open housesMinimum QualificationsEducational Requirement:Associate degree in a computer or information technology fieldOccupational Experience Requirement:Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in networking, network administration, cybersecurity, or forensics.Recency Requirement:One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Preferred QualificationMaster?s degree in Computer Science,MISor comparable computer-related fieldTeaching knowledge of computer networking, including Microsoft /or Linux server development, administration managementTeaching knowledge of installation, configuration management of network equipment such as Cisco equipment, firewalls,IDPS, wireless networking technologiesTeaching knowledge of information security, virtualization technologies, cloud servicesCertifications in A+, Network+, Security+,MCP,CASP,CISSExperience teaching or training in a two-year college or technical college settingOther RequirementsCurrent and former employees must be in good standings with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.Application ProcedureAttach cover letter, cv/resume, and unofficial copies of all transcripts. Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is a public two-year college located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.
