We're looking for one CDL driver for a tractor-trailers in our convoy. The 53' trailer is an equipment trailer full of our instruments and uniforms.
A typical day would find us at a school housing site. You would typically sleep in your truck but you're welcome to sleep in the school on the floor (air mattress or cot) if you prefer. You'd wake up typically around noon (just in time for lunch!). The group would be rehearsing during the day and have a performance show in the evening. In the afternoon, we would pack up the group and depart for that day's show site. The show site is a big parking lot full of other groups charter buses and semis. Lots of them! While at the show site, you can hang out in your truck or go in the stadium and watch parts of the show. After the show is over, typically 10pm or so, we depart for the next city. The typical driving leg is 200-300 miles (some more, some less). We get into the next housing site in the early morning. You'd then go back to sleep to get up mid-day and do it again!
We don't have performances every day so we're not driving every night. You can see the schedule of cities below. Many days you get to just hang out at the housing site and relax. There are also a few scheduled days off with nothing planned.
Meals and housing are covered while on the trip. Your housing will either be the sleeper of your truck or the floor of a classroom in a school. 4 meals a day are provided out of our mobile kitchen which you will have access to at no charge.
