Bar Manager –The Parlour Room & The Ragtrader / BoPeep
The Bar Manager of The Parlour Room & The Ragtrader / Bo Peep will maintain and continue to improve a cutting-edge cocktail and spirits program catering to a diverse clientele, manage an extensive whiskey collection of over 450 SKUs, and lead the exclusive “Whiskey Vault” membership program. Additionally, responsibilities include inventory audits, ordering, staff training, scheduling, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Finance:
- Execute sales and profit plans aligned with budgetary goals.
- Ensure profitability by growing sales and controlling the cost of goods margins.
- Leverage vendor partnerships and volume discounts to optimize purchasing.
- Implement a trackable inventory system for wine and whiskey.
- Monitor labor costs to ensure adequate team coverage while meeting profitability targets.
Operations:
- Manage and continue to create innovative and approachable cocktail programs tailored to each venue.
- Oversee all POS operations, including opening and closing procedures and reporting.
- Uphold safety standards, addressing hazards and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Ensure best practices to ensure adherence to health department standards.
- Plan and execute new products and initiatives efficiently.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a passionate, knowledgeable team.
- Provide ongoing education on beverage offerings and customer service.
- Serve as a hospitality role model, fostering team spirit and elevating service standards.
- Participate in daily educational and inspirational pre-shift meetings.
- Utilize guest feedback to coach and develop staff.
- Manage team dynamics fairly, resolving conflicts, and implementing developmental plans.
General:
- Able to lift 30+ lbs
- Fluent in both written and spoken English; Preferred basic proficiency in spoken Spanish
- Polished personal presentation; business casual; grooming meets company standards, as outlined by the Employee Handbook
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, and maintain professionalism when working under stress
- Maintains general knowledge of company history, concept, location, transportation, Management team, etc.
- Ability to utilize traditional software programs such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Toast, 7Shifts, and any additional systems used by the Company; Ability to access and accurately input information utilizing the Company software channels
- Attend mandatory meetings including Townhalls, Diversity training, leadership/staff meetings
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team
Requirements:
- Minimum Level Two Whiskey Sommelier Certification
- Minimum Level Two Wine Sommelier certification
- Two years of FOH management experience
- Two years of bartending experience
Compensation
- Base Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
- Bonus: Cost of Goods Performance Bonus ($5,000 - $10,000 annually).

- Paid Time Off:
- 15 days of PTO annually after 90 days of employment, increasing to 20 days after 18 months.
- 7 sick days annually, in line with New York Paid Sick Leave Regulations.
