Automotive Parts Manager

George Harte INFINITI is currently has a rare opening for a qualified Parts Manager to work in our expanding Parts Department. The Automotive Parts Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the parts department within George Harte Infiniti. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring parts availability, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will drive profitability, manage staff, and maintain a high level of organization and efficiency in all aspects of parts management.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to meet customer demand without overstocking.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy in stock records.
  • Manage the ordering of parts, including special orders, to meet specific customer needs

Customer Service:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parts inquiries, providing expert advice and solutions.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues with professionalism, aiming for complete customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the service department to fulfill part needs for repairs efficiently.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, train, and develop the parts department team, including setting performance goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster a team environment that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Sales and Profitability:

  • Develop strategies to increase parts sales through upselling, promotions, and customer relationship management.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental sales figures to identify trends, set sales targets, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure pricing strategies align with market conditions and profitability goals.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Implement and maintain systems for parts tracking, storage, and retrieval to maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate returns, warranties, and core exchanges with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and environmental guidelines related to parts handling and storage.

Vendor Relations:

  • Build and maintain relationships with parts suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service.
  • Negotiate deals and manage contracts to benefit the dealership strategically and financially.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar role within an automotive environment.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and suppliers.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management software
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for long periods.
