Job Description

Job Summary: An Entry-Level/Express Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance and light repairs on vehicles. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth operation of the service department. The technician will work under the supervision of more experienced technicians and will gradually be trained to take on more complex tasks. Key Responsibilities: * Basic Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Perform oil changes and filter replacements.
  • Check and replace vehicle fluids (coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, etc.).
  • Rotate and balance tires.
  • Perform battery checks and replacements.
Inspections and Diagnostics:
  • Conduct multipoint inspections to identify potential issues.
  • Use diagnostic tools to read and clear error codes.
Repairs and Adjustments:
  • Replace air filters, cabin filters, and other minor parts.
  • Adjust and replace belts, hoses, and wiper blades.
  • Perform minor brake repairs and adjustments.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Accurately document services performed, and any additional services needed.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces and tools.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations when disposing of fluids and parts.
Training and Development:
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and stay updated on new automotive technologies and repair techniques.
  • Assist more experienced technicians and learn from their expertise.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Automotive training or certification from a technical school is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an automotive service environment is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
