Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Area of Research Specialization: Ethics and Data Science, broadly construed, with research and teaching interests in areas such as (but not limited to) privacy, model transparency, explainability, public trust, algorithmic fairness, data and social justice (including approaches traditionally underrepresented in the field such as feminist, queer/trans, non-Western, etc.), data and migration, environmental issues, or related questions for artificial intelligence.
Area of Teaching Competence: Open, but candidates should be able to teach the required ethics class for graduate students in Data Science and to co-teach in the undergraduateAbout The University of North Carolina at Charlotte
