Job Title: Ab Initio, Tableau, and Cognos Developer

Location: Fully Remote
Employment Type: Contract 12+ Months

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Ab Initio, Tableau, and Cognos Developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on the design, development, and implementation of data integration, visualization, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise across these platforms and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines using Ab Initio.
Create and optimize data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau to support business insights and decision-making.
Develop and maintain reports using Cognos to meet business requirements.
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure the quality and performance of all data processing and reporting solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, visualization, and reporting tools.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to align solutions with business goals.
Document workflows, designs, and processes to support knowledge sharing and system maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

9+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Ab Initio development.
5+ years of experience with Tableau and Cognos for data visualization and reporting.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong expertise in Ab Initio GDE, Co> Operating System, and related components.
Proficiency in Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.
Hands-on experience with Cognos Framework Manager and Report Studio.
Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or UNIX shell scripting.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote setup.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Certifications in Tableau, Cognos, or Ab Initio are a plus.
